Data Privacy

CarFi respects the privacy expectations of its users and provides a configurable communication environment aligned with data minimization principles and jurisdictional awareness. The system is designed to offer message lifecycle control while maintaining transparency around interaction boundaries.
Privacy Features
Configurable Message Retention Users may choose optional message visibility durations—e.g., temporary display, periodic clean-up, or extended archiving—based on personal preferences. All configurations are local to the user and do not imply global erasure guarantees.
Interaction Control Users can selectively restrict contact attempts by adjusting communication permissions. When such restrictions are in place, the initiating party will be notified that communication is not currently permitted.
Session-Based Media Access Any audio or video interactions are session-scoped and transient, with no default storage. Participants are advised to ensure their local environment meets relevant regulatory or organizational compliance standards.
No Custodial Data Storage CarFi does not host or index user conversation content centrally. Message routing and display are governed by interface logic and device-specific behavior, not by persistent off-chain storage.
These design choices aim to balance usability with discretion, enabling effective communication within a decentralized network while respecting the diverse regulatory contexts in which RWA participants may operate.
