Why Real World Assets (RWA)
Real World Asset (RWA) represents the next major wave of tokenization, bridging traditional value with blockchain-native infrastructure. By converting off-chain assets—such as real estate, invoices, equipment, or commodities—into blockchain-native tokens, RWA unlocks new possibilities in liquidity, accessibility, and capital efficiency.
The appeal of RWA lies in its ability to combine legal enforceability with programmable finance. For institutional investors, RWA offers a familiar asset class enhanced with transparency, automation, and global settlement. For issuers, it opens new distribution channels, streamlines compliance, and reduces reliance on intermediaries.
Despite growing institutional interest, existing RWA protocols often suffer from poor standardization, limited interoperability, and insufficient tools for asset verification or investor protection. CarFi was designed to directly address these gaps—starting with the logistics sector and expanding toward a generalized RWA infrastructure standard that balances real-world enforceability with on-chain composability.
